John Rankin has spent nearly three decades in banking, building experience across nearly every facet of the industry—from his start as a teller in high school to serving as a bank examiner, lender, CFO, and now Chief Executive Officer of Genesis Bank  . As CEO, John is responsible for the overall performance and direction of the bank, with a particular focus on strategic planning and tackling complex challenges through collaboration and disciplined problem-solving.

A native of Mendenhall, Mississippi, he is deeply invested in community service through financial counseling, community garden initiatives, the Genesis Hope Foundation, and leadership within the Mississippi Bankers Association. Outside of work, John values time with his family and traveling abroad. His guiding advice is clear: choose a banker who asks thoughtful questions and truly cares about your long-term financial well-being—not just the transaction.

Gage has been in banking for 27 years, specializing in retail banking and commercial lending while building a reputation for approachable, thoughtful advice.

A longtime Brandon and Flowood resident, he values the strong culture at Genesis Bank, where teamwork and creative problem-solving define the experience for both customers and employees.

A graduate of multiple respected banking schools and a past president of Mississippi Young Bankers, he’s active in local leadership and his church community. Gage is a proud girl dad who enjoys family time, grilling, and Mississippi State sports.

Jamey brings decades of experience across IT and financial services, with 18 years in banking and more than 27 in technology leadership. He oversees digital banking, cybersecurity, innovation, risk, and IT operations, focusing on building secure, modern systems that serve customers and empower employees.

Originally from Wesson, he remains active in professional organizations and local volunteer work. Outside the bank, he enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with family, cooking on his Weber kettle, and cheering on Ole Miss.

Kellen brings more than 12 years of financial services experience along with a strong background from the nonprofit sector, blending community development with banking expertise. At Genesis Bank, she focuses on building mission-driven partnerships, expanding access to financial services, and guiding programs that strengthen families and local communities.

A Knoxville native, she stays active through volunteer work and serves on the board of the Genesis Hope Foundation. Outside work, Kellen is often outdoors hiking, cycling, or training for new adventures.

Tiare has nearly a decade of banking experience, specializing in customer service, commercial and consumer lending, training, and branch operations. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she enjoys helping a wide range of clients reach their goals while creating smooth, consistent experiences inside the branch.

Originally from Mexico, she values Genesis Bank’s relationship-centered culture and the genuine care extended to customers. In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading, and spending time with her family.

With 38 years in banking, Ramona specializes in loan processing, new accounts, and customer service, bringing a warm, hands-on approach to every interaction.

Jamey Gheen has more than 23 years of experience in financial services, with his entire career focused on mortgage lending and manufactured housing finance. He has held leadership and underwriting roles across nationally recognized institutions, including Vanderbilt Mortgage & Finance, Clayton Bank & Trust, and Reliant MH, where he helped establish and lead a specialized manufactured housing lending division.

At Genesis Bank, Jamey brings deep expertise in niche lending, serving an often underserved segment of the affordable housing market. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, he remains active in his local church and community. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife and three children, outdoor activities year-round, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers. David brings more than 16 years of banking experience, specializing in manufactured housing lending and affordable homeownership solutions.

Originally from Madrid, he’s built a career around thoughtful underwriting, problem-solving, and guiding families through major financial decisions. His background includes industry-recognized achievements and community work through his church and local outreach.

Outside the office, he enjoys traveling, hunting, and spending time with his wife and their dog. David encourages customers to partner with a bank that takes time to understand their needs and provides clear, honest guidance.

Breanna has more than 17 years in financial services and a strong background in manufactured housing, customer service, loan operations, escrow servicing, and floorplan lending. She’s driven by improving processes and finding creative solutions that advocate for customers.

A California native with time spent in Tennessee, she’s active through her church and local community efforts. When she’s not working, she’s happiest at home with her husband and their dog or traveling with loved ones.
